The late princess of Wales was perhaps the most studied, evaluated, followed, photographed and persued woman of the decade, yet all that that attention didn't stop her from consistently putting together breathtaking appearances. Princess Diana's fashion during the 1980s is iconic, with her style evolving from a more modest look to a glamorous and sophisticated image as she become a global icon. She was frequently seen with:

  • Soft-colored dresses.
  • Classic, understated pieces.
  • Puff sleeves, ruffles, and high necks.
  • High-waisted pants.
  • Oversized blazers.

Her most famous ensembles from that era were her engagement dress, a blue polka-dot dress, and tailored suits, especially the well-cut jacket sets with a feminine touch.
